A Fishy Tale

Gerry's tale of disappearing keys and the Sea Searcher reminds me of an incident a few years ago. While packing up after a weekend sail on Fizzgig, a bag on the foredeck fell over and a few items fell overboard. We had a Sea Searcher magnet at home so we left them there until the following weekend. We returned with some friends who had not sailed with us before. As we approached Fizzgig, I took out the Sea Searcher and uncoiled the line.

"What are you doing?" the friends enquired.

"Oh, we always do this, you'll be surprised what people loose in the water from the pontoon." I said lowering the Sea Searcher into the water.

Imagine their surprise when I retrieved 2 Fray Bentos pies and a tin of garden peas!
