…and there was more…
By Ian Sandell

The tides on Sunday looked good to visit Ryde harbour for lunch on the way back to Portsmouth, continuing the New Destinations theme of the weekend. Sea Holly left Chichester about 0930, followed shortly after by Bumble B. After rounding West Pole beacon, Bumble B started sailing and we left her behind as we continued to motor.
The friendly harbour staff met us on the visitors' pontoon and we moored at 1145 in bright sunshine. To our surprise, Bumble B arrived only a few minutes later, having given up trying to sail in the light Westerly. We had lunch, went for a walk along the front and left about 1330, to continue our motor to Portsmouth in the sun, which shone until after we moored on our home berths in Gosport.
