New Destinations
Cruise By Ian and Jean Sandell We have tried to find some new places to go on the cruise on 17/18 Sept - not easy in the Solent. That weekend is particularly busy, with many rallies taking place as well as the Southampton Boat Show. However, we hope that we have found some places that some may not have visited before. We have been welcomed to Hayling Island Sailing Club, just inside Chichester harbour. Buoys have been allocated and the club launch will be available to run us ashore and back. We have some tables booked if people want to have dinner in their splendid new clubhouse. Plan A is to anchor in Whitecliff Bay, south of Bembridge, on Saturday for lunch and on Sunday to visit Ryde Harbour and perhaps walk to the Simeon Arms for a pint (we know one member who remembers Ryde well, but that's another story). However, if the conditions are not suitable, we have a number of other options for both Sat and Sun lunch. |
