About us Events Ashdown Log Members boats Find out more Links Back Home	ASC Group MMSI by Ian Sandell Ofcom, the agency now responsible for the regulation of telecommunications, television and radio, including marine VHF, has allocated Ashdown Sailing Club a group MMSI (Maritime Mobile Service Identity). Five boats are currently registered on the group, although this number will no doubt grow as boats replace existing radios with DSC (Digital Selective Calling) sets. The group MMSI is 023200060. The boats currently registered in the group are Eliona, Georgina Mabalina, Lady J, Opalescence and Sea Holly. Please programme the group MMSI number into your DSC set's "phonebook" to be able you to call all other boats in the group with a single DSC call. If you do have a DSC set and wish to join the group, please let me know, so that I can keep the Ofcom records up-to-date.
