I hope you had a good festive season and are looking forward to some great ASC events in 2006. Please be aware that if you have not yet renewed your membership, you will not know what you are missing, as this will be YOUR LAST NEWSLETTER
Membership over the last year has increased from 90 to 95, which I believe is about right?
On the January weekend 23 members on 5 boats had a cracking sail on both days in weather that was not too cold. I wonder whether this has set the standard for the coming year?
Have a look at the sailing program towards the end of this issue, get the diaries out and send your forms in early. We have an event every bank holiday as these were popular last year. There are 2 week long cruises (May and September) to give more opportunity to get further afield. Also there is a 4 day sail (June) that is not a bank holiday and will be aimed at cross channel. There are 2 maintenance weekends (11/12 Mar and 8/9 Apr) when us PBOs would really appreciate some help. If you are able to help on 1 or more of the 4 days or would like to know more about what's involved then please contact me.
