Without really seeking it, we seem to come by some offers of stuff from various organizations. Here they are:
Discount Books and Almanacs
The club now has an account with Macmillan Distribution, which will provide about 35% discount off Adlard Coles nautical books, including Reeds Almanacs, Pilot Books andCruising Guides, Navigation Books - in fact almost anything to do with boats and boating.It is understood that the discount extends to other A & C Black books.
Ian Sandell intends to place orders about one week before the end of each month so that books are available at club meetings. The full list of titles is available on their website: www.acblack.com.

Mailspeed
In November 2010, the club received a considerable gift of assorted chandlery and kit from Mailspeed Marine the on line Chandlery Supplier who have set up a retail outlet at Crawley Down.Members made a £500 donation to the RNLI as a token of our appreciation for the kit they received.
Mailspeed offer a comprehensive range of chandlery, charts, clothing etc via mail order, and also welcome callers at the trade counter at Falcon Park, Hophurst Lane, Crawley Down, West Sussex, RH10 4XF Tel: 01342710618.
We hope shortly to place a poster in the shop which advertises Ashdown Sailing Club to potential new members, and from time to time offer ASC members access to sale items as they become available.

Upper and Lower Leisureware : www.upperandlower.co.uk are our suppliers of T Shirts,Sweat Shirts, Fleeces,Polos,Jerzees,Baseball Caps and Burgees. To view what's on offer, go to their website and simply key in the relevant Product Code listed below and view for yourselves.To include the ASC "Logo" add £4.85 per item, and to have your boat name, add an additional £2.00 per garment. Note it may not be possible to have both the ASC logo and a boat name on a baseball cap, but we can enquire on your behalf.
Delivery charges are a minimum standard of £10 for 20 items, so to minimize costs to you, we will place orders in batches of 20 items, unless your order is urgent and we will do a "one off" on your behalf.

When items are received we will contact you and arrange hand over at the next available Club Meeting date at Rowfant. All cheques should be made payable to Ashdown Sailing Club.
