Fizzgig heroically broke through the ice at Chichester to lead the January cruise to the Folly. Two of Diamonds and Libra 2 joined from the Hamble and Hythe respectively on a cold bright day with a fair wind giving a pleasant, if finger numbing, sail over. Evening meal at the Folly was the usual subdued affair with a smattering of alcohol and a breakout of table dancing followed by a gentle wind down on Libra.

Sunday dawned with initial fog, both in mind and reality, followed by bright warm sunshine and ice floes on the Medina. A reasonable easterly combined with the sunshine gave the Southampton based boats a spring like sail home, I even took my gloves off!, while poor Fizzgig battled straight into it, so likely had a much colder trip home.

A great report, and I think that the message board is a great step up.

Just thought I would try and attach a photo of the club mascot (as NB has Christened her)just to see how easy it was to add photos.
